Monday.

Blah. Need I say more? Phones ringing off the hook at work (on my lunch break now, officially), got a busy, busy week ahead. Trying to focus on one thing at a time so I won’t get stressed out. Nobody likes it when mama gets stressed out.

Yes, Will.I.Am is right, I did “cheat” and get on the scale. I can’t stand it, I have to know where I stand….LOL..maybe I’ll work on that. Maybe not. I am not gonna talk about it anymore though b/c I don’t wanna jinx myself.

Been doing pretty good w/ the low carb thing. Breakfast was eggs, smoked sausage, and cheese, and lunch was spinach salad w/ leftover steak from yesterday. It was good. Snack so far is sugar free jello. Good ol jello. LOL. I hope this works. I think eating the veggies to get the “natural” carbs is helping me. I’ve tried @tkins before and wanted to kill someone after about 3 days. So maybe this is better for me, who knows?

Will-i-aM did Sunday.

Fabulous sunny February day here in NC.  Last time I looked it was 78 degrees.  You gotta love NC weather. 

Did church this morning, facilitated a Dave Ramsey FPU class this afternoon, followed by a leisurely 30 minute walk before dark with Amy and Ally. 

I resisted weighing again this morning.  Amy weighed (cheater..LOL) and told me I should weigh because she had excellent results, but I refrained. 

I had string cheese for breakfast, steak/sauteed spinach/mushrooms for lunch, and corned beef/cabbage for dinner at my MIL’s house (thanks Ms. Bridget). 

On tap for tomorrow = week 6, day 2 of the Couch 2 5k program.

Sunday

So the weather is absolutely fabulous here today! High 70’s and sunny. Got a super busy day again. Church, lunch, then our first FPU class at church this afternoon, 3-5. Hopefully can squeeze in a walk after the class.  Hopefully anyway.

Been trying to keep it lower carb around here the past few days. Hope it works. I know I eat way too much processed stuff. We’ll see.

That’s about all I got for today. Happy Sunday ya’ll!

Ist post by Will-i-waS

Okay, so here goes nothing.  My first legitimate blog entry. 

Having a good day so far.  Like Amy said, we hit then gym this morning.  I did week 6, day 1 of the Couch 2 5K program.  Not as intense as week 5, day 3, but looking ahead it appears as if it’s my last easy day.  I’m really liking the program.  It’s easy to follow and much easier than starting out trying to run 5k out of the gate.  For those looking to start running, I’d recommend following the program. Just Google it.

When we started our journey I was 261 pounds.  As of my last weigh-in I seem to have hit a plateau.  I’m currently at 251, and have been stuck there for a couple weeks.  Actually, I was at 249, but had a slight gain (thanks to Nikki’s) up to 251 and haven’t been able to recover. 

I’ve made a new pact with myself that I’m going to start weighing myself once a week rather than everyday like I had been.  Amy is doing Weightwatchers, which meets on Thursday evenings, so that has been our official weigh day.  I wanted to weigh this morning real bad, but I resisted.  I’m thinking if I go a week between weigh-ins that I’ll be more careful about what goes into my mouth every day instead of just the 2-3 days before the “official weigh day.” 

Okay, so that’s it for me today.  Unless something spectacular happens. 

Edit:Changed post title to Will-i-waS to signify past tense.  From here on out it will be Will-i-aM though.

Hit the gym for GTL this morning….boy I discovered that I do not like the elliptical. Busy day, busy weekend…..

Need more hours in the day.

Good on the food so far. Lo carb omelet for breakfast and getting ready to have a salad. So far, so good.

Friday

Lordy, am I glad it’s Friday! It’s been a long week. Long month. For the shortest month, this one sure has been a killer. I will be glad to move on to March. Got a busy day and weekend ahead. Will have fit in some GTL time in there somewhere, but I’m not sure when it will happen today. We’ll see.

 Breakfast today for me (Amy) was a ham, egg, and cheese tortilla that Will was kind enough to make for me before I left. Yes, I am that spoiled. :) It clocks in at 7 pts and is worth every one. I put a little salsa on it and it is really good. Lunch is a WW frozen dinner (don’t hate), cukes, and some pineapple/mandarin oranges. Altogether it’s 6 pts, since the fruit and veggies are 0. Not sure what Will is doing, he’ll have to jump on here and tell ya’ll about that….LOL Dinner—who knows? Not sure yet.

First.

First post! Holllla! Ok. Today is the first day of the rest of our lives. Or whatever. Actually, we’ve been doing the weight loss thing since the 2nd week in January, and I’ve (Amy) been doing the gym since Oct, and Will came on board with that in January. Will is working the Couch to 5K plan. I pretty much walk on the treadmill right now. Would like to try running, we’ll see.

I’m doing the Weight W@tcher thing, and Will is following along with that at home. Not sure about posting my digits on here for the world to see, but I’m afraid it’s gonna be a necessary evil for this whole thing.

Thursdays are weigh day at WW land, so I guess we’ll make it Weigh day on here.

Exercise today consisted of 30 min on the treadmill at the gym today.

edited to remove our digits. I’m just not comfy with displaying that for all the world to see yet. Yes, I know you can look at me and tell I’m fat. But still not sharing the numero. And that’s ok. As a compromise, I will be posting the losses every week. Hopefully no gains.
